Neben dem Debut-Trailer von Mass Effect 3 und anderen Neuankündigungen wurden bei den VGA 2010 auch einige Preise verliehen. Der große Gewinner heißt Red Dead Redemption von Rockstar Games, konnte das Spiel doch gleich 4 Preise einheimsen für Bestes Spiel 2010, bester Soundtrack und bester Song, sowie bester DLC. Mass Effect 2 bekam zwei Preise für Bestes RPG und Bestes Spiel auf der Xbox 360. BioWare wurde zudem zum besten Studio 2010 gewählt.
